Thursday, May 16, 2024 / Categories: News & Updates Pavilion Pond Project Update The pond expansion project is nearly complete. The majority of the landscaping and connecting trails have been installed along with added picnic tables and benches. Several weeks ago, as we began filling the pond, staff realized it wasn’t filling as it should. The pond was drained back down (due to the District’s water rights, no monies were paid for the water that filled the pond and that was emptied). It was noticed in the pond expansion area, unstable soil structure and small sink holes that weren’t found until water was added. The District consulted with project experts, including Wright Water Engineering, on materials to fill the holes and correct the problem. Because this is an irrigation pond for the surrounding amenities, the need for repair is very time-sensitive. The crews have been very busy the past couple of weeks making the repairs and installing the clay liner. We anticipate the pond project will be fully completed and open for use in coming days. Stay tuned for more details along with a grand opening event. For more information, please click here. Thank you EVMD Just the Facts The Newest EagleVail Newsletter Is Here!! Print
