Tell us a little bit about yourself

I am a Colorado native and have been living in Eagle County off and on since middle school. I've had the great fortune of traveling all over the world, most memorably in my early 20s. I believe traveling to both first and 3rd worlds helped me develop a better understanding of humanity and philanthropy.

Why join the Metro board?

I think that our community needs a new member who has a different perspective, one that mirrors more of what our owners want to see in their neighborhood. We have an active community that loves a variety of sports and events. I believe that my understanding of the community would be a welcome addition to the board.

What are some of your past leadership experiences?

I am part owner of a local business which employs 40 people of many diverse backgrounds. I also run a nonprofit which has taught me organization, fundraising and teaching ethics to others on a shoestring budget. I am one of the few female professional avalanche instructors of my caliber in the country which has put me in a mentorship position.

What skills, resources, and expertise will you bring to the EVMD?

My strongest skill is my ability to make things happen. In all honesty, I don't possess any amazing technical or other skills, but I use what is available to solve problems, bring people together and move forward with ideas.

What are your interests and/or hobbies?

My interests include sports, specifically snow sports. The positioning of our community in this beautiful valley has given us the ability to enjoy the outdoors without much effort, something that so many don't have access to. I'm interested in volunteering, working towards equality for all, our environment, the safety and health of our wildlife and creating a peaceful community.
