Tell us a little bit about yourself
I am a seasoned real estate and development professional with over 40 years of
experience. Originally from Denver and raised in Winter Park, I relocated to the Vail Valley in
2021. I am the proud father of two grown sons and a stepfather to a daughter attending
Eagle Vail Charter Academy where I serve on both the Finance Committee and Housing
Committee.
Why do you want to join the EVMD Board of Directors?
I firmly believe that the EVMD community is entitled to transparent communication from
the Board, direct input on financial decisions, and decisions regarding the use and
enjoyment of EVMD property. As an experienced leader, I have the skills to unify our
community with the goal to maximize enjoyment of all the great amenities EVMD has to
offer.
What are some of your past leadership experiences?
Throughout my entire business career, I have devoted a significant portion of my time to
serving on various nonprofit charitable organizations and HOA boards. The most notable
examples include my 20+ year (and continued) service on the Village of Winter Park
Association, and 15+ year service on the Grand Foundation Board. Additionally, I served as
the CEO of Coldwell Banker Mountain Properties, where I led a team of over 30 employees
and 200 brokers.
What skills, resources, and expertise will you bring to the EVMD?
My expertise encompasses accounting (holding a BA in Accounting from the University of
Colorado), legal matters, board governance and management, as well as real estate
development and management. Real estate is EVMD’s primary asset which I am uniquely
qualified to protect and preserve.
What are your interests and/or hobbies?
I am deeply dedicated to my work and approach it with a strong sense of purpose. Outside
of my professional commitments, you can find me playing frisbee daily with our 2-year-old
German Shepherd. I spend my winters skiing and my summers golfing and fly fishing. When
not on the mountain or river, I enjoy traveling the world with my family scuba diving.
