Candidate Questions:
1. Tell us a little bit about yourself
I am originally from California and ventured east for college where I met my husband, Kevin, a native of Colorado. After receiving my MBA from the Leeds School of Business in 2003, I landed my dream job working for a family business, assisting them with management of their ranch in Silverthorne, now known as Summit Sky Ranch, for nearly 14 years. In 2016, my two aspiring ski racer children, Tyler & Lauren, started school at Vail Ski and Snowboard Academy and Red Sandstone Elementary and we relocated to EagleVail in 2017. For the past seven years, I have operated my own real estate development consulting business and am an Associate Broker with Slifer, Smith & Frampton.
2. Why do you want to join the EVMD Board of Directors?
I am honored to have served one, three-year term on the EVMD Board of Directors and I would like to continue the work we are doing for the community. EagleVail is now several decades old and we need to continue to make decisions with respect to ongoing operations as well as reinvesting in the community. We have all seen significant increases in our property values over the past few years and it is wonderful to see individual property owners upgrading and reinvesting in their homes. As a board, we are no different and are continuously assessing our property to determine how it can best serve the community.
3. What are some of your past leadership experiences?
I currently serve as Vice President on the EVMD Board and have served on two other metropolitan district boards, including past President of the Eagles Nest Metropolitan District in Silverthorne. I also served on my local homeowners association board for 5 years and master association board for 3 years.
4. What skills, resources, and expertise will you bring to the EVMD?
In addition to my prior relevant experience, I excel at finding opportunities for partnerships that are a win-win for the community. My background in residential development and land use planning is a unique skillset that can be applied to the activities of the EVMD board.
5. What are your interests and/or hobbies?
My interests include traveling with my family, going to ski races, mountain biking, hiking and walking my dog, Mojo.
