EagleVail works hard to create the greatest community possible. The below information confirms this.
The EagleVail Golf Club was named a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary from Audubon International in 2014. The two-year certification process requires demonstration of a high degree of environmental quality in seven specific areas including Environmental Planning, Wildlife and Habitat Management, Outreach and Education, Chemical Use Reduction and Safety, Water Conservation, and Water Quality Management.
The awards are made annually for exceptional contributions to the regional trail and transportation systems for the benefit of bicyclists and pedestrians. This section of the trail parallels the EagleVail Golf Course along the south side of highway 6.
EagleVail is proud to announce that in 2015 it achieved Firewise Communities/USA's recognition status, joining a growing number of communities working with the Colorado State Forest Service and National Fire Protection Association to take action to reduce their wildfire risk. As part of this recognition, EV is able to provide the community with resources to help continue working on wildfire mitigation. EagleVail was designated a Starting Hearts Community in October 2017. Jeff Layman, Community Manager for EagleVail, stated, “Beyond being gratified to be acknowledged by Starting Hearts, EagleVail is pleased to have prepared itself for the inevitability of sudden cardiac arrest cases. We want all of EagleVail’s owners, residents and visitors to be aware of the wide distribution of defibrillators throughout our community, and how to use them; so we’ll all know how to respond. Our Property Owner’s Association and Metropolitan District Boards have supported this program from the beginning.”
